In anticipation of tomorrow's release of
Robin Hood, tonight I screened the classic film from 1938
The Adventures Of Robin Hood. There is not much to be said about this film that has not been said before. It defined the character of Robin Hood to this day and Errol Flynn will always be identified with the part. It's the first film Warner Bros. made in technicolor and watching the DVD
upscaled on the
Blu-Ray player, the colors were never more vivid. I probably first saw this film when I was 6 or 7 and I still get a kick out of it when ever I watch it.

Bidwell Park in Chico, California served as "Sherwood Forest" in the film.
